Introduction
Particularly for aspiring teachers, this course aids students in comprehending the objectives and pedagogy of English literature instruction in Malaysian schools. It focuses on enhancing instructional techniques to demonstrate how literature, especially for ESL (English as a Second Language) students, may promote critical thinking and cultural understanding. Students will gain the ability to select appropriate texts and create interesting activities that are appropriate for Malaysian schools by investigating prose, poetry, and drama. The goal is to enable students to develop into self-sufficient, critical readers who can recognize the depth of literature and relate it to their personal experiences.
Personal Statement
The purpose of this blog is to meet the requirements of this course for creating an e-portfilio. Here I will present the justifications of the teaching aids, activities and assessments I have chosen both in my one-hour lesson plan and learning activities project. At the same time, I will also write a reflection on the preparation of this eportfolio and present it to everyone in the form of a video.
